Come and learn all about the art of copper foiling or leadwork glass. For leadwork think church windows - but not on such a grand scale for your first time! For copper foiling think Tiffany lamps, but maybe restrict yourself to suncatchers for this day. Both techniques start the same, after choosing your colours of glass we'll show you how to cut it to a pattern (known as a cartoon) and how to lay it out. We then move on to the joining process, so either how to attach the copper foil or measure up the lead before getting the soldering irons out and down to the business of joining the pieces together permanently. Please note that as lead is used in this workshop it is not suitable for pregnant or breast feeding ladies. Closed toed shoes must be worn. All materials are provided and a buffet style lunch.
